Winter transforms Lake Placid into a snow lover’s paradise. Ski or snowboard at Whiteface Mountain, glide across Olympic ice rinks, or explore cross-country and snowshoe trails nearby. Olympic Center & Legacy Sites

Just minutes from Boha, the Lake Placid Olympic Center and its Legacy Sites stand as living monuments to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games. Tour historic arenas, step into the “Miracle on Ice” rink, and visit the Olympic Museum’s interactive exhibits showcasing the spirit of competition and athletic triumph. Whiteface Memorial Highway

Just 25 minutes from The Boha, the Whiteface Memorial Highway is one of the most scenic drives in the Adirondacks. The road winds to the summit of Whiteface Mountain, where breathtaking views stretch across the High Peaks and Lake Placid. Whether driving, biking, or stopping at one of its lookouts, the journey is as unforgettable as the destination.

  • High Falls Gorge

    Just a mile from Whiteface Mountain, High Falls Gorge is one of the Adirondacks’ top family attractions. Walkways, bridges, and glass platforms reveal four dramatic waterfalls, with trails through ancient forests and riverside picnic spots. In winter, the gorge transforms into a magical setting for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

    Cloudsplitter Gondola

    The Cloudsplitter Gondola carries you on a 15-minute ride above Olympic ski trails and forests to the summit of Little Whiteface. From the observation deck, take in breathtaking views of Lake Placid, Lake Champlain, and the Adirondack High Peaks. The gondola is stroller and wheelchair accessible, with kids six and under riding free.

    Lake Placid's Toboggan Chute

    Lake Placid's Toboggan Chute is a seasonal attraction that stands 30-feet high and sends visitors down in a thrilling ice-covered chute, where riders can sometimes slide up to 1,000 feet across frozen Mirror Lake. The iconic chute has been operating since the 1960s and continues to be a family-fun favorite for locals and visitors alike!

The menu is filled with American comfort food and favorite classics for the kids, wine, bubbles, beer and signature libations, and delicious desserts and spiked after-dinner drinks. Reservations are not required so arrive early to snag a sunset spot on the exquisite lantern-lit deck on Mirror Lake. Dogs are welcome!
